How can I make a booking?

How much is the deposit and when is the payment due?

We require a 10% at the time of booking please. We accept either cheque or bank transfer but much prefer a bank transfer due to the Post Office being very good at losing letters. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival date and we always try to remind you as I know I tend to forget when we go away!

In the event that a booking is made within 6 weeks of the commencement we require the full amount please at the time of booking.

Please email or call me for bank details if you can complete a bank transfer. Please reference your payment with the surname of the person who made the booking.

Cheques should be sent to the farm address and made payable to Mr R Mason.

How do we access the property, what time can we arrive and what do we do when we leave?

There is a key in the key safe outside the kitchen door - If I will not be on site when you arrive the code will be sent to you when the balance for your stay is received. On most occasions we are about and the barn will be open on your arrival. Arrival time is 4pm on your first day although it can usually be brought forward if you want to get here earlier - please let me know!

What time do you have to depart?

It is important that you leave no later than 10am. When you leave you simply lock the door and leave the key either in the key safe or with myself.

What is provided?

We try to provide almost everything you may need to meet your immediate needs. There will be tea towels, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, basic cleaning materials, dishwasher tablets, oven gloves etc. The kitchen has a comprehensive list of crockery, utensils and pots and pans. We can make a travel cot available.

Are towels  provided?

No but they can be hired at £3 a set if required. You will find the beds made up with fresh linen. In the event that you stay for more than one week we provide clean linen  each Friday.

Can we bring our dog?

Not unless cleared with me prior to arrival. Well behaved pets can be accommodated. However, it is important that they are not allowed to foul the garden and they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or upstairs.  Please note that for the benefit of others there must be no evidence of their presence when you leave.

Should we take out holiday insurance?

You are strongly advised to do so. If, for whatever reason you are unable to take your holiday you will still be liable for the rental. We will however do our best to re-sell your dates for the full price so you are not out of pocket.

Are heating and other services included?

We provide full oil central heating. The oil boiler is initially set to work twice daily but you are able to manage the use according to your needs. Please use the heating sparingly and do not open windows when it is on.

Do we have to pay for cleaning?

No, the barn is cleaned for your arrival and we ask our visitors to leave the property as you find it. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the condition upon your arrival you must let us know. We ask visitors to empty bins, wash pots and pans and empty the dishwasher.  Please note we do reserve the right to make an additional charge in the event that the property has been left in an unreasonable condition. 

What happens if we cannot get something to work?

Please contact us next door. We can access  trades as and when required if the problem can not be sorted when we are told about it.

Can we use the hot tub?

Of course! It is always on and providing you follow the "do's and dont's" we run through with you it will provide a lot of fun during your stay. We charge £50 for using the hot tub to cover elecrtic and chemical costs which can be paid on arrival if not before.
